NCSM - Since 1966

The National Cancer Society of Malaysia, (NCSM), is the first Non-Profit Organisation in Malaysia to provide education, care and support services for people affected by cancer and the general public. Established in 1966, we are a tax-exempt charity registered under the laws of the Malaysian Societies Act and the Registrar of Societies of Malaysia. The association was founded by the late Dato' Dr S.K. Dharmalingam, Malaysia's first oncologist, and was launched by the then Prime Minister of Malaysia, the late YAB Tun Abdul Razak. NCSM is currently under the patronage of His Majesty Sultan Paduka Seri Sultan of Perak Darul Ridzuan, Sultan Nazrin Muizzudin Shah. The association is fully funded through involvement and contributions from the public.

We provide holistic cancer-related services to cancer patients, caregivers and the public through our six centres – Cancer Screening and Health Clinic, Nuclear Medicine Centre, Resource and Wellness Centre, Smoking Cessation Clinic, Children's Home of Hope and Adult's Home of Hope. Our headquarters is in Kuala Lumpur and we have five more branches nationwide in Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Perak and Sarawak.
